Restaurants Serving Egg-Free Meals

Disclaimer: Below is a listing of restaurants that have been able to accommodate our egg allergic daughter, Lady Grace.  While I hope visitors find this growing listing helpful, please note that this is not an endorsement of the restaurants listed below.  Rather, these are restaurants that have been responsive to our explanation of the severity of her egg-allergy, questions regarding ingredients used for particular items, and requests to avoid cross-contamination in the handling and cooking of her food.  (Note: Additionally, even restaurants where we are considered "regulars", I inform them of Lady Grace's egg-allergy during at visit.   I even go as far as to request that clean cookware is use...no request is too grand for my baby!)

Restaurant Listing

Hippopotamus 
A steak and burger chain with locations across France.  When traveling in France, we usually have at least one meal at a Hippopotamus, as the staff is generally accommodating. There is also one located in our neighborhood. For Lady Grace, we typically order the "steak hache" (which is like a hamburger without a bun) and a baked potato.  We have found their "push-pops" to be free of egg, as well.

Il Livio
A "neighborhood" Italian restaurant located in Neuilly-sur-Seine.  We love this restaurant for it's "child friendly" atmosphere and local charm.  For Lady Grace, we always order the kid's sized cheese pizza, and have never had a problem.

La Criee
A seafood chain in France.  Lady Grace loves fish, so she had an opportunity to enjoy herself at this restaurant.  Upon explaining the allergy situation, the waiter and chef recommended either pan sauteed or baked tilapia with just olive oil and a bit of salt.  She loved it!  After eating her tilapia, she also had a whole baked/grilled sardine, without incident.  We will definitely visit again!

McDonalds
We use this fast food franchise when traveling in France.  The egg-free foods that we order for Lady Grace include french fries, apple sauce, and the apple slices with grapes.  Please note that some items such as chicken nuggets which are egg-free in the United States are not necessarily egg-free in France.  Here is a link to the chain's allergen page: http://www.mcdonalds.fr/entreprise/allergenes
